Oh, the Things They Say

I know I haven't posted in awhile, thought I doubt anyone really noticed. Anyway, not a whole lot of funny things have happened at the zoo recently, so I didn't have anything to post. But, now I do.

Here is a list of funny things people have said to me or around me at the zoo.

(A women comes up to me at our cafe and asks if we serve milk. I tell her we do.)

Me: That will be $**.**. What kind of milk did you want?

Woman: . . .white?

(I am checking out a family with a little boy. Usually I do not take a toy from a child, as I know very well that it will result in a crying fit. In this case, the father took the toy from his son and hands it to me. The little boy instantly begins to cry.)

Father: *laughing* Ahh. The world just ended a little bit.

A woman and her daughter come into one of our smaller locations and picks up a stuffed turtle.

Woman: What sound does a turtle make?

Woman: (After no response from her daughter) Duuuuudddeee.
